Today we took our grandson Tyler into Freo for the day. He has been staying with us since last Sunday and we thought we would like to spend some time doing something fun. Fremantle was very relaxed and quiet (perhaps recovering from the Easter madness) and after a coffee on the Cappucino Strip we wandered through the town eventually making our way to the Fisherman's Harbour. Bathers' Beach was also very quiet so we took the opportunity to take our shoes off and play with Tyler in the sand and surf. He had a ball - and so did we!
Our daughter-in-law, Sophie, works at Sweetlips right by the beach so we decided to have some lunch whilst we were there. Sophie prepared our fish and chips personally and it was delightful! We can see why Sweetlips Fremantle was recently voted the best fish and chips in Perth!
Having Tyler is always a delight. His mother is a wonderful mum, and she is always so accommodating when we ask to spend some time with him. He is growing into a well mannered and happy young man. What more could proud grandparents want.
